FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
The short answers about compatibility, builds, privacy and licensing.
Product and compatibility
What does VersionVision do?
It is a SketchUp extension for tracking model revisions, making branches, labeling milestones and returning to earlier versions. It is not a cloud drive or a model-hosting service.
Which SketchUp and Windows versions are supported?
SketchUp 2017 to 2026, on Windows 7 to 11. The Windows versions you can actually use also depend on the requirements of your SketchUp version.
Where is project history stored?
In a local archive location you select.
Builds and privacy
What are cn, intl and intl-ew?
cn is the China build, intl is the international build, and intl-ew is the build distributed through the SketchUp Extension Warehouse. See Builds and connectivity.
Does the extension upload my model?
No. Nothing is uploaded. The cn and intl builds only download license-deactivation information, and the intl-ew build contains no network code.
Can I use the international build in mainland China?
No. An international license cannot activate in the China build, so please use the cn build there.
Pricing and licensing
What does it cost?
The personal edition is $49, a one-time payment with one year of updates and a 30-day full-feature trial. See Pricing.
How do I get help?
Use the contact details on the support page. If you send a diagnostic package, inspect it first: it can contain full model paths, project names and your signer name.
